Three Students Named UMB Provost’s Climate Health & Resilience Summer Interns
April 15, 2025Three students have been selected for the 2025 Provost Roger J. Ward, EdD, JD, MSL, MPA, Climate Health & Resilience Summer Internship:
- Gertie Mah, Master’s Student in Medical and Research Technology
- Thomas Northrup, Master’s Student in School of Social Work Leadership, Policy, & Social Change Concentration
- Kevin Tu, Medical Student in School of Medicine MD program
The summer internship will follow Climate Change, Health, and Society (CIPP650) and will build on projects started in the spring semester course. The program was created to help train students in an interprofessional setting to become future leaders in addressing climate change in Maryland. Student interns will implement innovative solutions to the climate crisis and further UMB’s commitment to its core values of Well-Being and Sustainability.
